Anghiari Market is on a Wednesday. During the main summer season, it is a food market in the morning, then clothes (you wouldn’t want to buy) in the afternoon, and then after about 9pm each street will put on a theme of music and food.
Anghiari Antique Market – every third Sunday of the month.
Arezzo Antique Market – the biggest antique market in Europe – First Saturday and Sunday of the month.
Monterchi Market – Sunday
Sansepolcro Market – Friday – They also have a night market during the summer season.
Sansepolcro – Friday & Saturday – Evening Passeggiata, from 9pm through to the early hours families, the youth, and all of the beautiful people take to the main street and sit out in the bars. There is often live music and everyone talks and catches up with neighbours and friends.
Shops, Supermarkets and Chemists
Anghiari – There are two small deli-type supermarkets in Anghiari. They are convenient but expensive. One is on the approach into Anghiari, just past the bins on the right, on the bend, the other is at the bottom of the big hill on the right. You can get a week’s shopping in but it is painful to pay for some items.
Sansepolcro – 12 minute drive is Gala, Coop, Penny, Eurospin. All good.
There is a chemist in the piazza in Anghiari and another at the bottom of the hill.
